Road-E-O
The Kansas Sunflower Chapter SWANA Road-e-o will be on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at the Municipal Services Center, 1385 S. Robinson, Olathe, KS. Registration check-in will begin at 7:00am on May 8th at the Service Center site. The Road-e-o events will begin at 7:30am with a walk-through with all participants & judges. All contestants will receive a T-shirt and ticket for the Lunch/Awards banquet. Family & friends of the contestants are invited to watch the competition. The Lunch/Awards banquet will also be at the Olathe Municipal Services Center after the Roadeo events have finished. Extra Lunch/Award banquet tickets for guests will be available at the registration check-in for $5.00 each on that Saturday.

The Truck Road-e-o will have four competition categories: Rearloaders, Sideloaders, Frontloaders, and Roll-offs. Truck driver participants may compete in two categories. The First and Second Place winners of each category will receive trophies and the First Place winner in each category will be eligible to represent the Kansas Chapter at the SWANA International Truck Road-e-o in 2010. This year for our Chapter Road-e-o will be a system for scoring to determine an overall TEAM Champion. Each agency with participants will be designated as a team. Points will be awarded by team members’ participation and placing in the various categories.
